This artwork is about pride and success and also inner sadness. The sun is setting on the time of the tree, and the tree being leafless is a representation of an older or a wiser person passing on their wisdom. After pouring their heart and soul into something, they are witnessing their success whilst also knowing they will miss the whole experience. It is tough to let go and let them fly. Whether it is watching children ‘leave the nest’, or having been a carer or teacher, this artwork is about the time at the end where they move on.
